Title
Removal of Names from Entry Level Police Officer Register

Body
Staff Recommendation:
N/A - information item

Staff Contact:
Amy Cleveland, Chief Examiner, Administrative Services Department

Background:
Pursuant to Civil Service Rule V, Section 4, Removal of Names from Register, Chief Roberts requested that five names be removed from the Entry Level Police Officer Register based on the police background investigation, psychological examination, physical agility examination, or medical physical examination containing negative findings or that the candidate failed the medical physical or physical agility examinations.
The specific reasons for removal were reviewed by the Secretary-Examiner, and in each case the reason has been determined to be supported by factual and verifiable information.  In the interest of maintaining confidentiality for those candidates whose names were removed from the register, this report does not contain the specific reasons for requesting removal.
Findings:
The following five candidates are not considered eligible for further consideration because they did not successfully complete one or more phases of the selection process that police officer candidates undergo after being placed on the register:  Roman Rossiystev, Nathan Jendrick, Erin Moore, Oran Thompson, and William Guitard.  Each candidate was notified in writing and, as of May 13, 2013, no written appeals have been received.
