Background:  
At the last LEOFF board it was suggested we check into dental costs for LEOFF members.
 
Findings:  
In a five year period the Police LEOFF Is incurred $34,025.86 in expenses.  In the same five year period the Fire LEOFF Is incurred $76,821.87.  The total expenses incurred were $110,847.73.  If we purchased Dental insurance through AWC the total 5 year expense would be $219,197.  If we purchase Dental insurance through AARP the total 5 year expense would be $242,568.  It would be significantly more to buy Dental insurance for the LEOFF I members.
