Background and Analysis:
The Fire Department and the Fire Services Training Section of Bates Technical College in Tacoma have a long standing relationship for training and testing of firefighters and fire officers.  This agreement is an extension of an agreement that has been in place for a number of years.  The agreement allows Bates to conduct training classes in our Command Training Center (CTC) for firefighter and fire officer training.  The agreement updates and defines costs, assignment of liability, and other details associated with the use of the OFD facility.

The original agreement and this extension were reviewed and approved by the City Attorney's office.
