UAC review of the 2016 NPDES Annual Report and the 2017 Stormwater Management Program Plan Update.

Background and Analysis:
Under the State’s National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Municipal Phase II Stormwater Permit (Permit), the City of Olympia will submit at the end of March its Annual Report covering the 2016 calendar year and the annual update of the City’s Stormwater Management Plan to the State Department of Ecology. The NPDES process requires local jurisdictions to develop effective stormwater management programs. In its role as a citizen committee, the City requests UAC’s review with the 2016 NPDES Annual Report and 2017 Stormwater Management Plan.
The August 2013-2018 Permit mandates continued implementation of the existing permit as well as new requirements.
The attached 2017 Stormwater Management Program Plan is still in draft format with minor changes planned prior to submitting to the Washington State Department of Ecology by March 31, 2017.
