Whether to approve the membership of the Home Fund Advisory Group, established to seek advisory and public comment to begin the 2019 competitive funding process that aligns with county, state and federal funding rounds.

Background and Analysis:
Council directed staff to present a list of names that could be appointed as Home Fund Advisory members to expedite the startup of the Home Fund before the round of spring advisory group appointments. Future appointments to the Home Fund Advisory will be solicited like other advisory groups. This list of recommended members was established based on recommendations gathered from Councilmembers, community stakeholders and city staff. Each individual has been contacted by staff and is willing to serve if appointed.

Neighborhood/Community Interests (if known):
This group includes a broad range of community interests relevant to affordable housing construction including finance and construction, local nonprofits that provide social services, and the business community. Staff contacted a number of potential neighborhood association representatives but could not get a commitment to serve from those contacted. Staff chose to recommend appointment of a behavioral health and primary care representative instead since that is a critical component of supportive housing.
