Background and Analysis:
The City entered into a contract with Jennifer Ziegler Public Affairs to liaison to the Washington State Legislature. At the request of the Planning Commission, Lobbyist Debora Munguia will provide an overview of the result of the 2019 Legislative Session, with an emphasis on housing, climate change, economic development, and significant local capital projects. They will also discuss legislation that helped advance City of Olympia Priorities (Attached), or are of interest to cities statewide, answer questions, and discuss areas of interest for the 2020 Session. A 2019 Legislative End of Session Summary is attached.
