Continue the Commission’s discussion on the Preliminary Capital Facilities Plan and 2020-2025 Financial Plan.

Background and Analysis:

Commissioners received a briefing on the Capital Facilities Plan and 2020-2025 Financial Plan from Administrative Services Director Debbie Sullivan on August 19, followed by a meeting with City staff to ask clarifying questions about the draft on September 9.  They held their public hearing and began discussing the draft on September 16. 

 

At the end of the meeting on September 16, Finance Chair Rad Cunningham asked that all Commissioners review the document and bring any written comments that they’d like to discuss and/or see included as part of the Commission’s recommendation to City Council. 

 

The purpose of this agenda item is for the Commission to continue to discuss and develop their draft recommendation for City Council, which will need to be delivered as a letter no later than Tuesday, October 29.

The Capital Facilities plan includes projects throughout the city.

 

Financial Impact:

Reviewing and making a recommendation on the Capital Facilities Plan and Financial Plan is an annual work item for the Commission.
