Issue:

Implementation planning was proposed as part of the Storm and Surface Water Plan, adopted in April 2018. Staff will provide a briefing on this work effort to date.

Background and Analysis:

In order to prioritize work efforts and facilitate coordination among the three sections of the Storm and Surface Water Utility, staff adopted a logic model originally developed by NOAA.   This logic model creates a standardized language and format to ensure consistent implementation of each of the 39 separate programs delineated in the Storm and Surface Water Plan.

 

In developing the Storm and Surface Water Plan we identified 39 distinct programs that represent the work being performed by the Utility. Of these 39 programs there are currently 20 implementation plans underway.  Attached are three completed plans for reference and discussion purposes.

Financial Impact:

This work effort is on-going and incorporated into the daily work efforts of numerous staff.  No additional financial impacts are anticipated.
