Receive briefing and provide feedback on conceptual designs for Yelm Highway Community Park.

Background and Analysis:

In late 2018 Olympia Parks, Arts and Recreation Department (OPARD) purchased 83 acres located at 3323 Yelm Highway for a future community park. The property is located next to a previously purchased 3.54-acre parcel also on Yelm Highway. 

The City has hired Berger Partnership to develop a master plan with the community for the future park. At a public meeting on February 28^th, the design team presented three conceptual site layouts for the park. At the May 21^st PRAC meeting, staff will present the three designs and solicit feedback from the group. An online public survey was also available on Engage Olympia for the broader public to weigh in on the designs.
