Background and Analysis:
Trevor Tirapelle (Seller) owns a 0.61-acre parcel of undeveloped real property located at 1300 Wheeler, Assessor Parcel No. 32700800003 (see attached Property Location Map).

The City would like to purchase this property to expand its inventory of park properties. Acquisition of this property would provide good opportunities for people to experience nature in their neighborhood and allow for possible recreation uses off the Woodland Trail, such as biking trails, hiking trails, or dog trails.

Staff has concluded negotiations with the Seller and has prepared the Real Estate Purchase and Sale Agreement that is attached to the Staff Report. The purchase price is $30,000.

Neighborhood/Community Interests (if known):
Park land acquisition has been a high priority in Olympia for many years as demonstrated by voter support of tax measures for park land acquisition.

Options:
1. Approve the resolution authorizing the Interim City Manager to execute all documents necessary to acquire 0.61 acres of real estate from Trevor Tirapelle.
2. Do not authorize the purchase of real estate from Trevor Tirapelle.
3. Direct staff to seek other options to satisfy the City's need for neighborhood park...
