Background and Analysis:
On May 5, 2020, the jury committee for the Eastside St. Art Crossing project reviewed the 9 applications received, and narrowed the list down to three finalists. Interviews took place via Zoom on May 27, 2020. Following three interviews with the finalists, the jury unanimously recommended Ms. Wilbur-Sigo for the project. Her artwork and her presence came across as very grounded, and her sense of connection, home and place felt very much a part of the community, a natural fit.

Options:
1. Approve the jury’s recommendation of Andrea Wilbur-Sigo for the Eastside St. Art Crossing, and forward to City Council for final approval.

3. Make another recommendation.
Financial Impact:
$50,000 from the Municipal Art Fund for design and fabrication of the artwork, and up to $25,000 for installation (under a separate agreement with a contractor).
