Issue:
Inform PRAC members about the Stewardship program, including current changes due to COVID-19. Share and discuss ideas for community involvement from staff and PRAC members.

Background and Analysis:
The Park Stewardship program includes Volunteers in Parks, Environmental Education and Park Rangers. While the COVID-19 pandemic has fundamentally affected usual operations, staff has been quick to adapt, assist with critical core services and find creative opportunities for community involvement. As recovery begins, volunteering in parks will continue to be an important element of stewardship. PRAC members requested the opportunity to talk with staff about ways volunteers can help with recovery. This discussion is an element of PRAC’s revised work plan.
