Background and Analysis:
At their August 15 mid-year retreat, City Council expressed a desire to have more in-depth conversations on the issue of public safety in Olympia as part of a larger conversation around racial equity. Facilitator Nancy Campbell has been working with the City Manager to shape the agenda and will facilitate the conversation.
Additional work sessions on public safety will be scheduled in the future.
