Background and Analysis:

OPARD is regularly contacted by members of the public interested in putting a memorial or plaque in one of Olympia’s parks.  Staff has requested that more guidelines are determined so as to provide consistency and clarity for staff and the public.

At the meeting, staff will present options for consideration and give an overview of how other parks departments have approached memorials and plaques in parks.
