Background and Analysis:
The Independent Salary Commission was convened July 2017 to review the Olympia City Council salary and compensation package. The Commission met in 2017 and 2019.
The Salary Commission come up with preliminary proposed adjustments to Council salaries and health benefit stipends. At this meeting, the Commission will continue to discuss the proposal and is hoping to finalize their recommendation.
The Commission is drafting a Philosophy Statement to explain their reasoning for the decisions they make. The draft will be available online with meeting materials as soon as all Commissioners have completed their updates and edits.
