Background and Analysis:

We’ve ran successful summer camps for many years, and we have always looked for opportunities to expand to meet the needs of the community.  This summer, rather than expanding, we shifted what we do to offer camps that not only fit the needs of the community, but also were compliant with the recommendations of health care organizations. We continued to lean on the Thurston County Health Department often this summer when we had questions and it was a great partnership.

Some of the COVID related alterations to camp were that we continued to break up the camps into smaller groups, not transport campers in vehicles and follow the mask guidance from the Thurston County Health Department.  We used local parks often for our smaller camps and had a couple different local groups come to our sights as special guests for our bigger camps.
