Background:
Based on Civil Service Rule III, Assessments, Two candidates applied and were invited to participate in the promotional test. Two candidates participated in the written assessment and were invited to interview. Two candidates participated in the interview and one candidate failed the interview. One candidate has been placed on the register.
Both candidates (2) were male. Both candidates (2) were White/Caucasian. The evaluators of the written assessment were community member/architect Glenn Wells and Fire Chief Matt Morris.The interview panel consisted of OFD Deputy Fire Chief Mike Buchanan, OFD Firefighter Erin Johnson, OFD Supervisor III Toby Levens, and City of Olympia Building Official Erik Jensen. Telli Norton, HR Analyst was also present as an observer.
Findings:
One candidate passed the written assessment and the oral interview and has been placed on the promotional register with a score of 87.63.
