Committee Recommendation:
General Government Committee unanimously recommends the appointments listed below.
City Manager Recommendation:
Move to appoint members recommended by General Government Committee to the Arts Commission, Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee, Design Review Board, Heritage Commission, Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee, Planning Commission, and Utility Advisory Committee.

There are 25 open positions on City committees and commissions due to resignations and ending terms.

Background and Analysis:
Twenty-five position are open City committees and commissions due to resignations and ending terms. Applications were accepted from December 1 through March 1. General Government Committee reviewed applications and interviewed new applicants in public meetings.
With approval of the recommended appointments, one vacant position remains open on the Arts Commission with a term ending March 31, 2015. General Government Committee will reopen the application process.
Recommended Appointments:
General Government Committee unanimously recommends the following individuals for appointment. Applications are available in the Council office for review.
Arts Commission
· Diana Fairbanks, Erin McGowan, and Rick Perry - reappointments to three year terms ending March 31, 2017
· Stacy Hicks - new appointment to a vacant position, with term ending March 31, 2016
Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee
· David Coppley, Scott Morgan, Aaron Pritchard, and Greg Wahl - new appointments for three year terms ending March 31, 2017
Design Review Board
· Duane Edwards, Robert Findlay, and Joseph LaValle - reappointments to three year terms ending March 31, 2017
Heritage Commission
· Mary Coacher, Holly Davies, Benjamin Helle, and Rachel Newman - reappointments to three year terms ending March 31, 2017
Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee
· Noah McCord and Brian Tomlinson - reappointments to three year terms ending March 31, 2017
· Alicia Seegers Martinelli - new appointment to a three year term ending March 31, 2017
· Timothy Burns - new appointment to a vacant position with term ending March 31, 2016
Planning Commission
· Darrell Hoppe, Jerry Parker, and Carole Richmond - reappointments to three year terms ending March 31, 2017
Utility Advisory Committee
· Thad Curtz - reappointment to three year term ending March 31, 2017
· Dever Kuni - new appointment to three year term ending March 31, 2017
