Whether to authorize the City Manager to enter into an agreement with the Washington State Department of Transportation for the fabrication and installation of Creative District highway signage at the North and Southbound Olympia exits off I-5, by approval of a resolution permitting him to do so.

Background and Analysis:
In in 2019, the City of Olympia Creative District status was approved by the Washington States Arts Commission. As part of have a state certified Creative District, there is a requirement for highway signage indicating Creative District designation.
Fabrication and installation of the Creative District signs will be conducted by the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) at the North and Southbound Olympia exits off of Interstate 5. The signage will also replace the Heritage District information, which was lost when the State Visitor Information signs were removed last year following the closure of the information kiosk at the east edge of the Capitol Campus.
The Interagency Agreement with WSDOT indicates in order to receive that agency's assistance in manufacturing and installing Creative District signs, the City must execute an Interagency Agreement and must reimburse 25 percent of the actual direct and related indirect costs incurred for the fabrication...
