Background and Analysis:
It is the practice of the Arts Commission to seat a member on each jury conducted by Arts Program staff. Those include the Arts Walk cover artist, Arts Walk Innovation awards, Poet Laureate, Plinth Project and individual public art projects. Also, a Commissioner sits in on the jury for performers hired for Love Oly (not a City project but one we partner on). Staff will ask for volunteers, and Commissioners endeavor to rotate the opportunities among members.

Climate Analysis:
The practice of seating Arts Commissioners as jury members should not significantly impact the climate.

Equity Analysis:
Commissioners also assist in developing the jury panels and look for a balance of lived experiences.
