The Commission will discuss how best to engage with neighborhoods, in particular with regard to their upcoming work item regarding Neighborhood Centers.

Background and Analysis:
On the Planning Commission's Work Plan for 2014 is a review and recommendation on potential updates to the Neighborhood Center Code. The Commission held a joint briefing on the topic with the Coalition of Neighborhood Associations on April 14, 2014. The Coalition expressed some concern about the use of jargon and other challenges involved in engaging neighbors on this topic. The Commission will discuss how to address these concerns and best reach out and engage neighborhoods related to their review of the neighborhood center code.
