Background:
Based on Civil Service Rule V, Registers, Initial Eligibility Lists, initial eligibility lists were established with candidates who passed the Public Safety Testing written and physical exams. Twenty-nine (29) were invited to the phase 1 suitability assessment. Fifteen (15) participated in the phase 1 suitability assessment, and three (3) passed. Three (3) candidates were invited to interview. One (1) candidate postponed due to illness and two (2) participated. Two (2) candidates passed the interview.
One (1) candidate was male, and one (1) candidate was female. Two (2) were White/Caucasian. The interview panel consisted of OPD Sergeant Jacob Theis, OPD Officer Bill Smith, and Community Member, Ron Perkins.
Findings:
Two (2) candidates passed the phase 1 suitability assessment and the oral interview and have been placed on the register with one (1) existing candidate in accordance with scores of 81.26 - 89.15.
