Background and Analysis:

The Bowerman Family began Oly Lightstravaganza in the 1990s as a neighborly Christmas light display competition on Olympia’s Westside. The display has expanded, moved to Olympia’s Eastside, and includes an opportunity for visitors to donate to the Thurston County Food Bank.  Visiting the light display continues to be an annual holiday tradition for many Olympians.
