Termination of contract with Thomas R. Bjorgen for Hearing Examiner services
City Manager's Recommendation:
Move to approve the proposed agreement terminating the City's contract with Thomas R. Bjorgen for Hearing Examiner services.

Background and Analysis:
The City currently has a contract with Thomas R. Bjorgen for Hearing Examiner services (Attachment 2). Section VIII of the contract states that the contract may be terminated by either party upon 90 days written notice.
Mr. Bjorgen has been elected to the State of Washington Court of Appeals and will likely begin service on the Court of Appeals in early December. In light of the election results, it is appropriate to terminate the contract between the City and Mr. Bjorgen for Hearing Examiner services. A copy of the agreement to terminate the Hearing Examiner Agreement is shown in Attachment 1.
