Background and Analysis:
At the City Council's February 3, 2015 meeting, several citizens spoke during Public Comment about their concerns regarding the nontherapeutic uses of antibiotics in livestock production and antibiotic resistant bacteria.  They asked that the Council consider a resolution supporting a statewide and national ban on those uses.  Council directed staff to prepare a resolution for consideration at its February 10, 2015 meeting.

1.      Approve the resolution as presented.
2.      Amend, then take action to approve the resolution as amended.
