This item was last reviewed by the Arts Commission on July 13, 2026. The recommendation was pulled from the City Council agenda for July 28, for additional review.
Climate Analysis:
Traffic Box Wraps can contribute to the overall City strategy of encouraging alternative transportation.
Equity Analysis:
Voting on the Traffic Box Wraps is open to all. Folks without computer access can participate by visiting the Olympia Timberland Library.

1428 responses, comparable to 1436 responses in 2025.
Options:
1. Recommend the publicly selected designs for Olympia traffic boxes to City Council for fabrication and installation.
2. Modify the recommendation.
3. Do not recommend designs.
Financial Impact:
$18,000 identified in the 2026 Municipal Art Fund for artist honoraria for use of their artwork ($500 each), and fabrication and installation of the vinyl wraps.
