Issue:
Review of the draft work plan for the Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee. Annual work plans for advisory committees are approved by the City Council in March of each year. This agenda item is an opportunity for PRAC to review a work plan for April 1, 2025, through March 31, 2026.

Background and Analysis:
At the request of City Council, each city advisory committee forwards a recommended Work Plan to Council early in the calendar year. Advisory committee annual work plans are effective April 1 through March 31.

The Council-approved work plan establishes a set of tasks for PRAC during the twelve-month period. The Chair then coordinates with the staff liaison to establish a general calendar and agendas for each meeting. Note that during the course of a year it is possible for the Council to add new items to the work plan.

Climate Analysis:
The Work Plan provides a schedule for PRAC to receive briefings, provide feedback and make recommendations to staff and Council on various park and recreation related matters. Individual work plan items may have impacts on greenhouse gas emissions which will be analyzed in association with each item.

The Work Plan provides a schedule for PRAC to receive briefings, provide feedback and make recommendations to staff and Council on various park and recreation related matters. Individual work plan items may have equity impacts which will be analyzed in association with each item.
