Issue:
Winter storms can bring situations to Olympia requiring a coordinated response from multiple departments. The Emergency Operations Center coordinates that response. This briefing will focus on City Council members and the important role they have in Emergency Management.

Background and Analysis:
The Emergency Management process is designed to help coordinate multiple departments to address disaster situations. City Council may be called upon to make high level decisions to support this effort. This briefing will focus on those issues and relate them to the projected weather report and the question of cold weather sheltering.
