Background and Analysis:
PSE is replacing poles and wires on Delphi Road in an effort to improve the electrical service in an area that regularly experiences power outages. PSE has requested that the City grant an easement to accommodate improvements needed to support the new, improved power lines that will be installed.
Neighborhood/Community Interests (if known):
ยท      Granting the easement will allow PSE to upgrade the power system and as a result, improve electric reliability to the area.
Options:
1.      Approve and authorize the City Manager to sign the Utility Easement with PSE.
a.      PSE's project will move forward as planned.
b.      Neighborhood may have improved electric reliability.
2.      Do not approve the easement.
a.      PSE will have to redesign the proposed project and possibly have to move existing poles.
b.      People in the area will continue to experience outages.
Financial Impact:
PSE will compensate the City $500 for the Utility Easement.
