Background and Analysis:
On September 27, 2024, the City of Olympia received an Application and Certification of Special Valuation for Improvements to a Historic Property from the owner of the Sandberg House at 208 Percival St NW. This property is individually listed on the Olympia Heritage Register.

The Historic Preservation Officer has confirmed that the subject property meets basic program eligibility criteria for Special Valuation:
* Historic home individually registered on the Olympia Heritage Register (on March 27, 2023);
* Application filed no later than two (2) years after beginning the work; and
* Per applicant's documentation, expenditures total at least 25% of the assessed value of the property, exclusive of land value, prior to the rehabilitation and meet eligible expenses criteria.
o The assessed value of the structure prior to rehabilitation was: $386,700.00
o 25% of this is $96,675.00
o The approved rehabilitation costs are $118,956.76
o The costs were verified by receipts submitted by the owner.
