Background and Analysis:

During 2016, the City has been engaged in a strategic planning effort for the downtown, called the Olympia Downtown Strategy. This is a strategic plan to itemize actions the City can take in the next six years toward implementing the goals and policies outlined in the Comprehensive Plan. After a thorough public outreach process, City staff compiled draft actions in four categories, attached.

At the August PRAC meeting, Amy Buckler (CP&D) provided a briefing on the Downtown Strategy and received input from PRAC on potential action items for the Strategy. That input has been incorporated into the draft.

The items that relate most closely to PRAC’s mission are L.4, L.13, T.3, and H.8.
