Background:
Based on Civil Service Rule V, Registers, Initial Eligibility Lists, initial eligibility lists were established with candidates who applied and met the assigned criteria for Fire Prevention Officer positions. Two (2) candidates applied and two (2) participated in the process, which consisted of a scored letter of interest and an oral interview. One (1) candidate passed the assessment, and one (1) candidate did not pass. One candidate is on the register.
Two (2) candidates were male and Caucasian. The interview panel consisted of OFD Assistant Chief Randy Haines; Cherie Carey, Thurston County Emergency Management; OFD Fire Prevention Officer Jon Jackson; and Haylee Furgeson, Olympia Building Plans Examiner. The assessors for the written were OFD Assistant Chief Kevin Bossard and OFD Captain Jimmy Grostick. Nicole Camus from HR was also present as an observer.
Findings:
One (1) candidate has passed the interview and assessment and has been placed on the register in accordance with a score of 92.33.
