Background and Analysis:
Recently Experience Olympia and Beyond, frequently referred to as the Visitor Convention Bureau, completed a 10-year destination master plan for Thurston County. The destination master plan is a comprehensive framework outlining the vision, goals, and strategies for the sustainable development of Thurston County's tourism sector balancing visitor needs with Thurston County resident priorities based on collective impact.

Climate Analysis:
The presentation does not have a climate impact however it is noteworthy that many of elements in the plan prioritize sustainability, environmental resilience, and destination stewardship.

Equity Analysis:
As a part of the planning effort "Destination Alignment Variables" were identified and called out as part of the plan, with very specific attention to Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion - most frequently being connected to diversity of workforce and access to amenities and events.

Neighborhood/Community Interests (if known):
This plan was developed through a collective impact model, which included a leadership committee compromised of stakeholders from across the county, multiple surveys, stakeholder interviews all totaling over 1,000 participants involved in the creation of the plan.
