Background and Analysis:

The Washington Center for the Performing Arts recently concluded an $8.8 million capital campaign and renovation to the many components at the heart of the theater. Phase one of the renovations included upgrades to the rigging, sound and lighting system.  Phase two of the renovations over the summer included 1,000 new seats, new carpet, wall treatments, signage, concessions remodel and interior design improvements. The Washington Center reopened to the public on November 4.
