Provide a briefing to Council on City projects planned for construction this year.

Background and Analysis:
The 2014 construction season is under way. This year, Council committed approximately $19 million in new construction funding to improve the City's infrastructure and City-owned buildings. There are 20 projects expected to be in progress between March and December.
City staff will continue to use a variety of tools to communicate with the public on the construction projects including an interactive Construction Map on the City's website and an OlyProjects Twitter account, as well as our traditional tools.
Staff will present some of the highlights of this year's construction season including:
Downtown Focus
* Remodeling the municipal courtroom to accommodate jury trials.
* Painting the Olympia Center exterior
* Paving 5th Avenue and widening the sidewalk between Capitol and Columbia
* Installing lighting in some downtown alleys
* Removing the former Housing building at the Isthmus
Transportation
* Constructing a roundabout at Boulevard Road and 22nd Ave
* Paving State Avenue between Central and Plum Street
* Constructing a sidewalk on West Bay Drive
* Constructing a sidewalk on 22nd Avenue between Boulevard Road and Cain Road
* Restriping streets throughout the City
Utilities
* Repairing Woodard Creek Culvert at Olympia Woodland Trail
* Repairing Black Lake Sewer Lift Station
Projects Continuing from Previous Years
* Installing pumping equipment and pump houses at McAllister Wellfield
* Replacing Water Meters
