Background:
Based on Civil Service Rule V, Registers, Initial Eligibility Lists, initial eligibility lists were established with candidates who applied internally and met the minimum qualifications. Four (4) internal candidates applied and four (4) were invited to an assessment center. Four (4) candidates successfully passed the assessment. The testing process included a multiple part oral examination and a written assignment. The assessors evaluated oral & written communication, interpersonal insight & emotional intelligence, command judgement, decisiveness, and planning & organization. The minimum passing score for all exercises was set at 70%.
The interview and oral resume panel consisted of WSP Lieutenant Krista Greydanus, City of Tumwater Interim Lieutenant Bryent Finch, Thurston County Sheriff’s Office Lieutenant Malcom McIver, and Executive Director of the Dispute Resolution Center Elizabeth Drake.
Four (4) candidates were male. Four (4) candidates were White/Caucasian.
Findings:
Four (4) candidates passed the assessment center have been placed on the register in accordance with scores of 72.24 – 89.04.
