Final the cover letter that will be forwarded later this month to City Council along with the Commission's recommendation on the Comprehensive Plan Update.

Background and Analysis:
The Planning Commission completed their recommendation on the Comprehensive Plan Update on March 18, along with a related addendum regarding Urban Neighborhoods which they will final this evening. The City will release the 'Commission's Recommended Draft Plan Update' online on May 20. This will include a cover letter drafted by Chair Parker, and approved by the Commission this evening.
During April, Chair Parker solicited feedback on the draft letter from prior and current members who were involved in deliberations on the Plan Update.

Options:
Review the attached draft letter and addendum, make any final changes, and recommend the letter be forwarded to City Council along with the Commission's recommended draft of the plan update. Staff will format, spell check and have Chair Parker sign the letter before sending to the City Council.
