Background and Analysis:
Fire Chief, Matt Morris and Deputy Chief, Hillory Flowers will present a briefing on the Olympia Fire Department's Community Risk Assessment/Standard of Cover report and discuss next steps. This will include an overview of the process, preliminary information, and improvement plan.
The comprehensive report includes extensive data, fire department services, resources, and response performance. Darkhorse Emergency Response and Risk software programs will be presented and show how utilizing predicative forecasting helps to guide decisions.
Climate Analysis:
The Olympia Fire Department Community Risk Assessment/Standard of Cover agreement supports the objectives of the Climate Framework. Providing fire protection and emergency response resources helps to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Greenhouse gas emissions are reduced when safe and effective emergency responses reduce the loss of life and property.
