Recommended Action
Committee Recommendation:
The Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee is scheduled to make a recommendation at their meeting on January 21, 2016.

City Manager Recommendation:
Provide feedback to staff on the draft 2016 Olympia Parks, Arts and Recreation Plan so the requested changes can be made prior to plan adoption on February 9, 2016.

Issue:
The public hearing on January 12, 2016 was the last opportunity for the public to provide input on the draft plan. Tonight is the final opportunity for Council to provide feedback to staff for desired changes prior to plan adoption on February 9, 2016.

There has been an extensive public input process on the draft 2016 Parks, Arts and Recreation Plan. The input process included:

* 2 community meetings (62 total participants)
* A random sample survey (759 participants)
* 2 OlySpeaks online forums (347 participants)
* E-mail comments (121 participants)
* 2 Arts Commission Meetings
* 3 Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee Meetings
* Planning Commission Meeting
* Coalition of Neighborhood Associations Meeting
