Issue:

Discuss next steps for staff and committee to inform community on the 2014 budget.

This is a discussion item for staff and the Committee.

Background and Analysis:

Since the beginning of the year the committee has discussed various aspects of the budget and how we inform constituents. On June 10^th the committee met with the Coalition of Neighborhood Associations (CNA) to discuss the budget.  Staff met with the Planning commission on the capital budget on June 17^th.  Staff will meet with the Utility Advisory Committee later this summer on both the operating and capital budgets.  

Tonight we will review staff and committee notes from the CNA meeting and discuss the next steps.

Neighborhood / Community Interests:

The Coalition of Neighborhood Associations (CNA) is very interested in determining the right entry points into the budget process for them.
