Background and Analysis:
Since the early 1990's, City staff have used Microsoft office tools. Office 365 is the primary communication tool used by the City for sending emails, and to collaborate virtually, create documents, complete forms, track work and store records.

This agreement renews the City's existing licensing agreement with Microsoft for an additional three years.

Climate Analysis:
Tools like Office 365 enable telecommuting by City staff contributing to a substantial decrease in City staff transportation-related emissions, aligning with the City's commitment to sustainability. Office 365 also reduces the amount of paper City Staff use to carry out their work.

Equity Analysis:
Office 365 includes tools for making the workplace more accessible to all City staff, including live captioning, the creation of meeting transcriptions for those with hearing disabilities, and immersive reader tools for the visually impaired.
