Background:
At the January 6 meeting, we will have a special focus on business and economic development issues, as well as review and refine three evolving land use and urban design scenarios, which are based on previous public and stakeholder group input along w with ongoing technical analysis. To prepare for the meeting, members should review the attached background information:
• Executive Summary of Downtown Business Survey (attachment 1)
• Slides from Greg Easton’s Preliminary Market Analysis (attachment 2)
• Inflow/Outflow Data & Work Area Profile Report (attachment 3)
Also, if you haven’t already, please complete the online Downtown Strategy Workshop #1 survey (link in attachment 4). The survey reflects the input we’ve received thus far and where we are in the plan development process. Input will be used to help shape the land use and urban design scenarios that will be presented to the public in February. The survey will be open until January 17; it does require some thought and about 20 minute to complete.
In February, we will have a special focus on housing and social services, and prepare for the public workshop which is scheduled for February 20.
