Background:
Based on Civil Service Rule V, Registers, Initial Eligibility Lists, initial eligibility lists were established with candidates who passed the Public Safety Testing written and physical exams. Fifty-eight (58) candidates were invited to the phase 1 suitability assessment. Twenty-five (25) participated in the phase 1 suitability assessment, and ten (10) passed. Ten (10) candidates were invited to oral interviews. Interviews were held over two dates. For the interview on December 16, 2025, seven (7) candidates were invited to interview, one (1) withdrew and six (6) participated. Two (2) candidates passed the interview. For the interview on January 15, 2026, three (3) candidates were invited to interview, one (1) was a no-show, who withdrew from the processes after a follow-up call, and two (2) participated. One (1) candidate passed the interview.
Three (3) candidate were male, and three (3) candidates were White/Caucasian. The interview panel on December 16, 2025, consisted of OPD Sergeant Eric Henrichsen, OPD Sergeant Josh Marcuson, and Community Member, Alesha Perkins. The interview panel on January 15, 2026, consisted of OPD Sergeant Aaron Ficek, OPD Officer Michael Sirenko, and Community Member, Ron Parker.
Findings:
Three (3) candidates passed the phase 1 suitability assessment and the oral interview and have been placed on the register in accordance with scores of 77.96 - 86.59.
