Background and Analysis:
Two PBIA board members’ terms concluded in December 2025. The City opened nominations for two board members by emailing all PBIA dues-paying members inviting nominations. On December 22, 2025, a follow-up email containing a survey was sent to all dues members to vote for three candidates: Michelle Nurmi, Jacob David, and Alden Davis. The survey closed on January 5, 2026 and the results are being presented at the meeting on January 7, 2026 at 11:30am.
The current PBIA Advisory Board members must move to appoint two individuals from the election to fill the open Board seats.
Climate Analysis:
Electing new PBIA Board members does not directly impact climate goals but could influence future decisions affecting sustainability downtown.
Equity Analysis:
Electing PBIA Board members is an opportunity to ensure broader and more equitable representation of downtown stakeholders. Choosing not to select new board members could reinforce existing disparities by limiting leadership opportunities to a small or less diverse group.
