Background and Analysis:

The Oly Town Artesians are a semiprofessional indoor soccer team who debuted in the fall of 2014.  They are the founding team of the Western Indoor Soccer League (WISL).  Western Indoor Soccer League is a locally run indoor soccer league currently comprised of seven teams in the second season for the semi-professional indoor soccer league.  Oly Town Artesians home field is at the Pavilion on the campus of The Evergreen State College.

Oly Town Artesians are named for the naturally occurring springs that made Olympia world famous and their crest is made up of multiple elements that all pay tribute to an important part of the local community. The shield is similar to a guitar pick paying tribute to the musical culture of the area; the pattern in the shield is the same pattern found on the rotunda ceiling in the Legislative Building at the Washington State Capitol; and the horseshoe is an iconic symbol of Olympia and Tumwater locally, nationally, and internationally.

The Artesians’ 2015-2016 regular season schedule kicks off on November 28 against Sporting Everett FC at the Everett Soccer Arena.
