Background and Analysis:
(Excerpted from Capital City Pride webpage)

Capital City Pride's mission is to create a safe and empowering stage to uplift, celebrate, heal and inspire our vibrant LGBTQIA2S+ and BIPOC community while being environmental stewards who create ally-ships with local businesses to boost our local economy and broadcast a culture of belonging and love.

The community of Pride welcomes and celebrates diversity of sex, gender identity, gender expression, and gender orientation in all ages and cultural backgrounds. . .

Capital City Pride has evolved into a three-day festival held during the last weekend of June. We are proud to be one of the only family-friendly, dry, zero-waste, and philanthropic Pride festivals in the region-an intentional space where all ages can safely and openly celebrate their identities. We also host ten signature events creating jobs, experiences and community collaborations for Thurston County and beyond.
