Background and Analysis:
The PBIA has historically funded hanging flower baskets displayed in downtown Olympia. Last year, PBIA shared the cost for flower baskets with the City Council. The City has budgeted to share the flower basket cost for 2027 as well.

The PBIA has an available remaining fund balance of roughly twenty thousand dollars.

Climate Analysis:
This item does not directly impact climate goals.

Equity Analysis:
Ensuring that PBIA members are able to determine how to spend current funds for next year ensures a broad and equitable representation of downtown stakeholders.

Neighborhood/Community Interests (if known):
No community comments have been received. The downtown flower baskets have become a signature program of the PBIA and are routinely regarded as a high priority for downtown.

Options:
1. Approve allocating PBIA funds toward the 2027 downtown flower baskets and authorize staff to coordinate and implement.

2. Do not approve the allocation of PBIA funds toward 2027 flower baskets.

3. Approved allocating PBIA funds with contingencies.

Financial Impact:
The PBIA has remaining available funds to support flower baskets. The available funds for Fund 135- PBIA Fund for 2027 include $20,000 for operating expenses and $7,445 for overhead/transfer out.
