Issue:
The Heritage Commission will review three nomination applications for this year's Historic Preservation Award and decide whether to recommend any applicants for the award.

Background and Analysis:
The Heritage Commission has received three nominations for the 2015 Historic Preservation Award:
 
1.      Judy Bardin - For voluntary commitment to serve as liaison between the Olympia Planning Commission and Olympia Heritage Commission (Attachment 1);
 
2.      Lauren Danner - For research and scholarship in preparing a submission to the National Register of Historic Places and taking initiative to identify and preserve a mid-century modern home of both architectural and historic significance to Olympia (Attachment 2); and
 
3.      Wildwood Center Building and Business Owners - For preserving and reinvigorating a historic commercial property as a vital community center (Attachment 3).
 
Following tonight's decision on a recommendation, the award(s) will be prepared and presented at the May 19, 2015 City Council meeting in conjunction with the City's formal recognition of Historic Preservation Month.
