City Manager Recommendation:
Provide feedback and direction to staff regarding the Community Renewal Area (CRA) Open House and City Council Workshop held on May 16, 2015.

Report
Issue:
The Community and Economic Revitalization Committee hosted a Community Renewal Area Open House on May 16, 2015. The objective of the open house was to inform the public about the status of the Community Renewal Area and to consult with them on possible approaches to proceeding with a request for proposal (RFP) to find a redevelopment partner for a specific area in downtown.

The intent of the Workshop component of the meeting was to allow City Council an opportunity to discuss the next steps in the CRA process in some depth and detail. Some of the questions addressed by Council in the Workshop included: which area or areas to include in the RFP, how to approach the RFP process, connection to the Downtown Strategy and branding of the area or areas included in the process.
