Background and Analysis:
Finance Committee directed staff to consider adjustments to the Business & Occupation Tax and Licensing; including thresholds, rates, and fees. The purpose is to increase revenues to meet future unfunded needs impacting the General Fund while sustaining small business and offering incentives to locate new businesses within the City of Olympia.
Staff will present various scenarios and seek feedback from Finance Committee on which options to evaluate further.
